Source: Bernard Young Thomas Keet moved his family about 1835 from Massachusetts and settled in Adams County, Ohio, completing the final portion of their journey floating down the Ohio River on a log raft. The raft was large enough to shelter themselves and the Montague family (who traveled with them). Thomas bought a new Bible from Andrus and Judd of Hartford, Ct. in 1835 and copied the family history from an earlier record into it. Thomas lived in Bentonvile, Ohio and worked as a carpenter.
