Hello Listers: My gggggrandmother ELIZABETH COOK married GEORGE RENIFF in 1798, Buckland. Their intentions were published for Sep 1798 and they married Oct 1798. The actual marriage license burned. I have a lot of information on the Reniff family but none on Elizabeth COOK'S family. The marriage intention said that ELIZABETH COOK and GEORGE RENIFF were both "of Buckland." There are over 10,000 ancestrial files on ELIZABETH COOK, a very common name obviously. I believe the most likely candidate for the Elizabeth COOK that married George RENIFF is one I found that was b 16 Oct 1774 in Worcester, MA. She was born to Robert COOK and ELIZABETH PARKER. There are tons of Robert COOK and ELIZABETH PARKER ancestrial files also. I think that perhaps Elizabeth COOK may have been born in Worcester but then moved later on to Buckland, Ma. Because the names COOK and PARKER are so common I am having a hard time finding any concrete proof of who Elizabeth COOK'S parents are. I know from talking to Janice, the Town Clerk, that the records of Buckland burned so I have little to go on. The HISTORY OF BUCKLAND does list the marriage of Elizabeth COOK and George RENIFF and their children and some land they bought in Conway but I don't know if it has any further information on the family(parents and siblings) of the Elizabeth COOK that married George RENIFF. Any help will be greatly appreciated as always. Renné Blocker ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the Internet in years - Juno SpeedBand!
