I saw a history of the Springfield diocese at an antique book store, and have been regretting not buying it ever since. Wonder if it's still there... Sacred Heart Church is in Cheapside, but I'm not sure how old it is. I think Holy Trinity is the oldest in town. The pastor at Sacred Heart is the same priest as at St. Mary's in Turners Falls.
