    1. Re: [MAFRANKL] Revolutionary War Service
    2. Good morning, Have you looked in the multi-volume set entitled Massachusetts Soldiers and Sailors in the Revolutionary War? If they are listed, copy the page, along with the title page of the volume you use, and include that as proof of service. The Genealogy Dept. (NSDAR) accepts this work as proof of service. I am looking at the History of Bernardston, p. 353, and the brief genealogy for Samuel Connable noted he "served as private Apr. 20 to May 1, 1775, etc. " The wording sounds suspiciously like what you would find in Mass. Soldiers and Sailors, so suspect you will find Samuel Connable listed in that work. Same source, p. 356 discusses John Connable, gives his military experience as well as being chosen to various town offices including "Committee of Inspection 1775." Civic service works also. I feel confident you will find both these men listed in the above mentioned reference work. That will provide their service. If you need further help contact me personally. I am State Regent of Oregon, NSDAR, in addition to being a certified genealogist. Hope this helps. Joan Joan A.
