    1. [MAFRANKL] HALL, George - Ancestors of (Part 2 of 2)
    2. John Marsh of Hartford, CT; Marsh Genealogy 1636 - 1895; Compiled by Dwight Whitney Marsh of Amherst, Mass. Published by Press of Carpenter & Marebouse, Amherst, Mass, 1895. p. 286. "Homo sui generis," living to great age, daring to think and original in his thought, very familiar with his Bible, removed from his church as a "separatist" i.e. forced to "separate" became holding to immersion, very literal in interpretation and therefore finding abundant proof of the present-utter unconsciousness of all the dead until the constantly expected second advent and last trump. He was much interested in Marsh genealogy, a venerable attendant at several of our annual meetings, remembering very many who passed to distant states or other worlds long ago, a veritable Yankee "old Mortality" with quiet persistence visiting many old graveyards and recording for our use forgotten dates and names. He treasured his grandfather's old huge account book, begun in 1754 and gave us to copy its valuable dates and names. In his old age his home was mainly at Northfield, Mass., where he died. x.
