    1. [MAFRANKL] surname BENJAMIN

    3. Regarding the following: "Joel Livermore Benjamin (b. 1760, d. 1839) m. Sarah Anderson. Rev. War Soldier was paid a bounty of 40 pounds in Oct 1779. Their son Abel was born in Wendell, Mass., 23 Jul. 1796 and died in Montague 4 Jan. 1882. (Alurid Benjamin and Ives Benjamin were also land owner in this section and may have been Abel's brothers)." Alured T Benjamin was born probably in Montague or Wendell about 1796, son of Joel L and Sarah (Anderson) Benjamin. While of Northfield he died in Montague, 8 Nov 1869. He was of Erving when he married in Northfield, 11 May 1820, Lucy S Stratton, dau of Rufus & Asenath (Field) Stratton of Northfield, born Northfield, 9 Mar 1796, died Erving, 1 May 1860, buried Northfield Farms Cemetery. They mostly resided in Erving (west part or Northfield Farms section). He was a large landowner. He left a will which gives him then of Northfield, and which I've yet to look at.
