I am looking for information about the HOWARD family who arrived in Myrifield (now Rowe) in 1776. Parents were: Seth Howard (b:1732 Stoughton ,Massachusetts and Phebe Hayden. Children (born Cumberland, Rhode Island): Nathan b: April 29, 1761; Cynthia (b:November 19, 1762) ; Frederick (b:May 12, 1764); Jesse (b: January 14, 1766); Lucinda (B:December 07, 1767); Mindwell (B:May 26, 1769 M: Jonathan Gleason); Seth Jr (b: May 10, 1772); Children born in Rowe: Lydia (b: March 16, 1776 m: Isaac Tracy) ; Phebe (b: March 25, 1777); Elizabeth (b: January 31, 1779); and Abel ( b: February 04, 1781 m; Irena Tracy). I am particularly interested in Nathan, the name of his wife and children and his movements. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Erika Are you aware, that Howard is interchangeable with Haward and Hayward? Just doing a little checking, 3 Howard brother's, from MA, settled in Jamaica, VT, in 1775, similar to your time frame for Seth and Phebe settling in Franklin County, and right near the border in Windham. Apparently there were 5 or six brothers in total. Have you checked?
