This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: James Smith Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/4EB.2ACE/1062 Message Board Post: I am wondering if someone has access to the marriage information for the couple: Joseph James & Emily S. Smith. Book on Ashfield marriages [via NEGS] lists 27 Dec 1841 & Joseph James as "of W. Troy, NY" but no parents listed for either thus I am stuck. I don' t know if that means the parents were not recorded in the marriage record or if that information was just not included in the book? [according to later census data Emily was b. est 1812 in MA - in case that helps find her family.] If no help in the marriage record I was wondering if there could be an Ashfield newspaper item around that date that might indicate the parents or something more on the families? (did they announce weddings in the paper back then?) Any clues are appreciated! Thanks! --Patty
