I have just found this is what Rowe was called before it became Rowe in 1785; wondering if there are any families mentioned in this book. I am working (again) on my Knowlton families of this area and because my Mary born 1776 is in the Rowe VRs, I am now thinking she was actually born in "Myrifield". Are there any church records from the pre-Rowe days?
Hello, If you go to Google Books at http://books.google.com/books?lr=&q=myrifield+plantation&as_brr=0 Type in Myrifield Plantation, the last one is The Story of Myrifield Plantation. Click on "find libraries" and you'll come up with 4 libraries with the book. You can then click on "ask a librarian" and perhaps they can give you some answers. I was able to find this book through abebooks.com and order it. It was the only copy they had. I should have it next week and then I'll be happy to look stuff up for you. The spelling by the book store was Merifield.
