I find the births of some of my family in Whately in 1775. One brother moved to Charlemont, where it appears my family was in the 1810 census. I would like to find them in the 1800 census. Is there a natural immigration progression from Whately toCharlemont? Are there some towns that he would have been more likely to stay at between Whately and Charlemont? Is there some trade or commercial connection between Whately and Charlemont? Looking at the lay of the land it would appear that one would travel along the Connecticut River, then along the Deerfield River. I can't tell from my map if there is another river between the two. It seems logical that I would need to check the towns from one place to the other. Any thoughts or experience trancing family in the area? Thanks, Glenda Breslin
Glenda Try www.worldconnect.com I found his christening 5 Nov 1775, son of James Scott and Sarah Dwight. If you contact the other researcher on your line, it might help. alice@valertservices.com Bonnie ----- Original Message ----- From: "Glenda Breslin" <glenda.breslin@gmail.com> To: <MAFRANKL@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, October 18, 2006 12:06 AM Subject: [MAFRANKL] Whately to Charlemont Massachusetts >I find the births of some of my family in Whately in 1775.
