Solomon DAVIS married Sarah BLACKWELL in 1791 in Madison County, KY. He died in 1801 with his brother Nathaniel while they were transporting slaves down the Ohio River. His children were Peggy who married Henry BROOKS and had one daughter Levisa; Spicey who married Thomas LANTER and moved to Missouri; Polly who married Robert BROOKS; John; and Richard DAVIS born 1799, married (1) Paulina COLLINS (2) Elizabeth BAXTER. Richard died 1874 in Madison County. His children were: Josiah b. 1830; Amelia m. George JOHNSTON; Mary Jane m. John BROOKS; Arthusa married Noah TEVIS; Albert, Clifton and James b. 1841.
