SIMPSON and MADISON CO. List Friends, Please take the time to read this and help me solve a family mystery, if you can. I have been searching for the names of PARENTS and DIRECT-LINE ANCESTORS of my 2nd GGF, John Bush Simpson, Sr. (1834-1902) married to Alzirah Gordon Jones (1845-1900). Alzirah's parents were Humphrey Tunstall Jones (1822-1884) and Elizabeth Bentley (1828-1878), desc. of William Bentley of Boonesborough. One of John and Alzirah's sons was FOUNTAIN and he is thought to have been possibly named after John Sr.'s father, possibly a "Fountain Simpson". John Sr. mother is supposed to have been "Eleanor Gibson" for whom my GGM Eleanor Gibson Simpson-Park is named. John's roots could have been at Bush Settlement in Clark County (maternal)--his mother was born in Clark County. John's father was born in Fayette Co., KY (according to marriage bond, but no name mentioned as to who either parent was). John lived in Richmond, KY (Madison County) not far from Boonesborough where most of his children were born. John's wife, Alzirah's father was born in Jessamine Co. John's Granddaughter, Gladys, now approaching 90, is still living and in his homestead. Despite being my cousin and one of the most beautiful people one could ever meet, cousin Gladys does not know who her Great grandparents were (John's parents). Just finding out who John's parents and grandparents were would help me tremendously! I am at a WALL now, but I have enough info to break it down with someone's help in Jessamine, Clark, or Madison County. I believe John has ties to Capt William "Billy Bush of the Fort Boonesborough Settlement. John Bush Simpson, Jr. (Son of My 2GGF, John, Sr.) Obit reads as follows: J.B.
