Dear Group, I'm looking for information on these Vaughn's in Madison County KY in the 1820 census. I am trying to match them up to a Obediah Vaughn (b 1760 VA) said to have went to Sumner - Smith County TN after 1790. Information document see: http://207.36.98.118/Document/cgvbio.htm Obediah Vaughn's only known son is a John D Vaughn (b. 1790 Va) he married a Celia Wood (b. 1797 in or around Allen County, KY.?) John D Vaughn was in Smith County TN in 1820. Obediah Vaughn and his wife was said to have have had 11 to 12 children. I am looking at this area (Madison County, Ky) because at that time frame KY may have been said to have beeen part of VA. This would make them say that they were born in VA also the name Obediah.
