I, too, am seeking information on a Lemuel JONES. Family history states that Lemuel JONES, wife unknown, was the father of Caleb, Timothy, William Bedford, Ann/e, Isaac and possibly Tamara JONES. Based on the birthplaces his children listed in the 1850 Census, Lemuel may have lived in NORTH CAROLINA before moving to KENTUCKY (Christian Co.?), TENNESSEE and, by 1830, Washington Co., ALABAMA. Some of his children moved to Smith Co., MISSISSIPPI. Any information or clues would be appreciated. Sue Sullivan Oklahoma City
