Please keep in mind that just because you can't find it on ancestry.com, doesn't mean it didn't happen. They don't have access to all the records for all time. Could be these records are recorded in a source ancestry.com doesn't have digitalized, yet. Could be the records from that time period aren't even available. Many descendants of William Howard and Elizabeth Reed cite their marriage in Madison County, KY on September 28, 1793 with Elizabeth's brother Edward Reed as bondsman. However, the marriage records for the county given on ancestry.com do do not include this marriage. How can I find out if the couple were married in Madison Co., as alleged, on that date? I will appreciate any help! Thank you. Pansylea Howard Willburn
