There were two Daniel Maupins who were Revolutionary War soldiers. One stayed in Albemarle, VA; the other moved to Madison County, KY. I have both of their pension records. The Daniel Maupin who moved to Madison County, KY was married to Margaret "Peggy" McWilliams, (as his second wife) I believe. So, you can see that there might be confusion between the two Daniels.
