    1. Indian Mounds near Silver Creek.....
    2. M. A. Farrell
    3. Gerald, I want to ask about this on-List, since everyone will be interested in your reply. I got a copy of the 1876 Beers map from UK, Margaret King, free, which shows several Indian Mounds around (S, E & W) Silver Creek at that time. Are these still there, orwere they leveled like the big one that used to be "Mount Sterling"? I didn't get East of Dick's River when I was there a couple of weeks - was at Frankfort all the time, reading old records. Next Oct's trip, for sure. I also see on this old map that Wallace Mill Road runs North down to East bank of Paint Lick Creek, follows that bank a way, to "S. Wallace" and his Spring. Maybe that is where the Mill was. In 1876, he was probably a grand-nephew of Hannah Wallace. Did not get to check on the Campbell/Anderson cemetery, either; have you been that way recently? It may also be on an old Indian Mound, by the looks of the terrain. Will be very anxious for your reply.
