Wanda, thank you for your response. No wonder I couldn't find Jeremiah Rucker in the 1870 census but was sorry to learn of his tragic death. My interest is in the Morton family. Several members married to Ruckers so I've accumulated some information regarding that family. Jeremiah Rucker is not in my direct line but I am interested in him, his family, and descendants.
