I do find from time to time a person of this same name in Granville Co., NC and later in a document or two in Madison Co., KY. I am wondering whether these are different men with the same name, appearing in different places at different times. It had been formed from Hanover Co. ca 1742, and a good many residents of Hanover Co. are mentioned in these deeds. There is an index, thank goodness, of surnames with given names included.
