OK. I also come from Coleman and Ellender Renfro through Turpin and Fanny Houk Haley. Their daughter, Serena Haley married J J Parsons and they had a daughter, Fanny who married John A Sigmon. Their daughter, Mahalia Jane Sigmon married Virgil Hunt. One of their sons was William Edward Hunt and he is my father. Now, John A Sigmon was the son of Barnett and Elizabeth Berry Sigmon. Barnett was the son of William and Mary Polly Sigmon Sigmon and Barnett had a sister, Manerva who married Robert Riddle. Looks as if you and I are cousins along the way! I am trying to find valid proof that Coleman Haley and Barnabas Haley are indeed father and son and have yet to find anything DAR will accept. Do you have any proof of what we know?
