Denice, one of my Wallace men had Madison Co property which included both sides of Paint Lick Creek. After Paint Lick became the dividing line between Madison and new Garrard Co in 1796, his house (and the family cemetery referred to in his will) were on the Garrard side of Paint Lick. From that year on, his deeds, tax, probate, etc, records were in Garrard Co. He died before the 1810 census. I know positively he did not move from one county to another. Would like to find traces of that old cemetery someday, probably on Wallace Mill Road, but on the Garrard side of Paint Lick.
