This new facility will be open( we hope) in May. National conference will be here also, and attendee will have the chance to tour. I live here and use it heavily. So am not looking forward to moving time when they will of neccesity have to be closed. And RVers the new parking lot will have areas for you. Major restaurants near by and a break room for bring your own. Mid Continent genealogical Library is actually in Independence but reality just off I 70 at Lee's Summit Road exit , North. WELCOME The collection is outstanding, the staff helpful and knowledgeable and They hold the entire Census collection and plenty of machines, tremendous Microfiche collection, PERSI and the quarterlies to back it. Bud, For those of us familiar with the area, I know you are talking MO. and Independence, but for those who have never been there, it's near Kansas City. I was raised in Topeka and had an Uncle near Lee's Summit. Brings back memories!!! When life gets back to normal, I hope to do a lot of personal research!! I have sure missed it the last few years.
