    3. Margaret/Peggy Lanham, b. after 1796 in Madison Co., the 8th child of Thomas Lanham and Patience Sappington, married Zephaniah Fowler, 29 Dec 1814 in Madison Co., KY. The bond was filed 28 Dec 1814, John Lanham, bondsman; Thomas Lanham father of the bride. (Note: Some people have Zephaniah listed as Leshimiah but the original document was clearly Zepheniah. Spelled with e in the middle. I saw that one myself - I may even have a copy of it stashed somewhere.) They were living in Montgomery Co. in 1860. Some of their children were Thomas, b. 1817; Wesley, b. 1824; Susey, b. 1826 (see list of grandparents following); Sarah, b. 1828; Mary, b. 1829. [A Fowler researcher told me his parents were Jeremiah Fowler and Marget UNK and Jeremiah's parents were Jeremiah Fowler and Drucilla Isaac, and that Jeremiah's parents were Thomas Fowler and Susannah Iiams. I haven't done any serious research but the family was back in Maryland in the early 1700s.] Richard Fowler married Malinda Bently 2 Feb 1827. Nancy Jones, mother of bride. JOHN SMITH, bondsman. [DO YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS JOHN SMITH? THOMAS LANHAM NAMED HIM TO BE EXECUTOR OF HIS WILL. "Now on a second reflection I do design and hereby Will and bequeath that John Smith shall have three hundred dollars out of my Estate during his life and that said John Smith shall be my executor and transactor of all my business." Joseph Fowler was a witness to the will in 1840. I have the inventory and settlement documents - very complete - but it is inaccessible at the moment. I remember seeing Fowler names as purchasers. I think one of them bought some of the land. In 1830, Richard Fowler was neighbor to Thomas Lanham in Western Division , Madison County. He was 20-30 yrs old, as was his wife. They had one daughter under 5. -----Original Message----- From: samuels [mailto:dwsbgs@centurytel.net] Sent: Wednesday, February 27, 2008 11:38 PM To: suzannet@bhoffcomp.com; madky@rootsweb.com Subject: RE: [MADKY] Leah Lanham - James Kennedy Susanne: which WEST and which Fowler I have each in the LEE lines and Richard was in Madison co.
