Wanda, Thank you so much for sharing your information. The more that gets published, the more we will all have accurate family histories. I think there is a problem with John Sappington, married to Jemima Fowler. Your records are off a generation. John "Jack" Sappington was born 03 Sep 1759, Anne Arundel Co. MD, the son of John Sappington and Margaret UNK (possibly Baxter). He died 10 Sep 1815 in Crestwood, St. Louis Co. MO. He married Jemima Fowler, 29 Jan 1781, in Prince George Co. MD. She died 27 Sep 1814 in Crestwood, MO. Their daughter Peggy Sappington married Jonah Parks, 31 Aug 1803. Bondsman James Parks, Father of the Bride, John Sappington. Their son Zepheniah married Peggy Parks. Bond 4 Oct. 1804, Return 5 Nov 1804, Bondsman John Sappington, Father of bride, Charles Parks. My Patience Sappington was a sister to Jack. The Sappingtons are well documented back in Maryland, before they came to Madison Co. John Sappington's (senior) name is inscribed on the Boonesborough monument, along with his son-in-law Thomas Lanham. I haven't followed the Sappingtons after they moved to Missouri but there is a very good Sappington list/website. Contact me privately for more info about the list/website.
