Greetings, My cousin in Germany is in the process of compiling a book about the Hempels of the Stolberg (Harz) region, and I'm wondering if someone might be able to do a few NEHGS lookups so I can provide him with a few dates I don't have on file for our American line. I'd be glad to do ancestry.com lookups in return (but they don't yet have Bristol Cty vital records from the 2nd half of the 19th century). Here's what I'm looking for: #1) a marriage record for Charles William Hempel (born 1850 in Osterode am Harz, Kingdom of Hanover [Prussia by the time he married]) who married Emily Becker (d/o Carl Becker and Marie [sometimes listed as Mary] Beier). The marriage may have been recorded in Attleborough or North Attleborough, or else in Providence RI (where Emilie grew up). #2) a birth record for Carl Hempel (s/o Charles William Hempel and Emily Becker). He was born in 1879 in (I believe) Attleborough or North Attleborough. #3 a marriage record Carl Hempel and Grace King (d/o Edward Martin King and Ella Tappan) in Attleborough or North Attleborough about 1903.
