I've "rescued" photographs belonging to the HALL Family. The first is a photograph of William HALL which was taken at the Bierstadt Bros. Studio in New Bedford, MA. The photograph is dated August 1866 with William appearing to be in his early teens at the time. In addition to his name, someone has written "hay cold time" on the back of the photograph as well. The second photograph is identified as William Coleman HALL and was taken at the New York Photography Studio in Philadelphia, PA and is dated 1873 with William appearing to be in his early 20's at the time. The third photograph is a duplicate of the second photograph. I believe all are of the same person, however, I can't be sure. Based on limited research I believe that I was able to locate the family in census records as follows: 1880 census of Philadelphia, PA: James HALL, age 68, a Farmer, born PA, parents born MD/PA Mary J. HALL, wife, age 64, Keeping House, born Philadelphia, parents born Philadelphia William C. HALL, son, age 28, a Lawyer, born PA + 4 servants 1910 census of Philadelphia, PA: William C. HALL, age 58, born PA, parents born PA, a Lawyer Julia LAWLER, servant, age 30, born Ireland, parents born Ireland, a Private Family Servant I'm hoping to locate someone from this HALL Family so that these wonderful old photographs can be returned to their care.
