I am looking for a birth Record for my gr gr grandmother, Maria Augusta Comstock. According to the Comstock genealogy book, she was born in Seekonk on 14 Sep 1839. Some of her children's birth records say "mother born Seekonk." Some of the later ones say "mother born East Providence." Where would be the logical place to look for this early record? NEHGS does not yet have Seekonk records available. Would these early records be found in East Providence, RI, now or would they still be somewhere in MA? Donna in NC
