Butts (she married Oliver Slocum and then Alvin Bradford). The book "Vital Records of New Bedford" pub. by the NEHGS lists her father as James. So there are researchers following that line and posting it. From her bible records that I have and other sources I have researched; I know it to be Thomas Butts. > >To help solve the mystery I thought her marriage record to 2nd husband, Alvin Bradford, might help if it lists her father's name. That's where the SKS part comes in.... > >Sarah A. Slocum to Alvin Bradford > >1875/ V4/pg113.
