Hi Gena , You might try Tiverton R.I. Town Hall for your husbands Great Grandfather. I have ancestors who were born in Tiverton R.I., in the early 1800's and by the 1880's they were listed in the Census records as being born in Massachusetts. It sure gets confusing. Part of Tiverton officially became Fall River in 1862 but before that it was also called Fall River R.I. from 1856-1862. Tiverton is part of the Providence R.I. Diocese . I don't think there were any Catholics around that early in the 1800's I hope you find what you are looking for in Tiverton. Good Luck Marge >>Anthony Lally was born about 1844, give or take a few years either way. > 1880 Gloucester MA Census records state he was born in MA.
