Powers: Can't help you. But I see you are interested in Dextradeur. I came across a Dextradeur in Wareham. Emma Agnes Horan married into the Horan/Doran family. Emma Agnes Horan's parents: Emma Mary Dexter, born in Massachusetts John B. St. John Emma Mary Dexter's parents: Joseph Dextradeur Sophrenie (maiden name unknown), died in 1913 both from Canada, when they moved to Massachusetts from Canada, their last name was changed to Dexter by Joseph's employer. They had 13 children, only 3 survived. I happened to notice that there were several Dextradeur names in the Fall River area around 1911. Dexter is a common name in the Wareham area, but they are not from Canada. Easy to see how Dextradeur became Dexter in Wareham.
