I have finally knocked at least one brick out of a wall that has blocked me for years. I have just learned that in 1914 John and Ida (Gustavsson) Johnson were living at 79 Canonicus Street in North Tiverton (Newport), RI. This is about 3 blocks south of the state line as it borders on Fall River. The record that i located was fore the birth of Clara Johnson in 1913, she was the couples fourth child. Since learning that I have scanned the entire non-indexed 1910 Census for Tiverton but did not encounter the family. If anyone has access to Fall River City Directories for 1910 through 1913, or slightly earlier, and could attempt to locate a John Johnson I would appreciate it. In 1913 John was employed as a Machine Folder, I expect his occupation would have been in mills earlier as well. I am also interested in listing for Frank Fantom for the same period.
