My KIRTON family came to Mass. in 1837, but it's not known where they lived from 1837-1839, when they left Mass. for Ohio. My grtx3 grandmother Jane KIRTON was a young woman when she and her family lived in Mass., and in her obit. it say's "...until 1839, when they left their elegant home and beautiful surroundings and came to the forests of Ohio....". So I'm assuming they lived somewhere where there was a lot of wealth. There was another KIRTON family that settled in Mass. later, but they were from Ireland, whereas my family came from England. If any of you kind people out there could take a look in what databases you may have to see if maybe the KIRTON'S where in Bristol co., it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!
