Pam, If I were you, I would look up Taunton Clerk's office online, get their phone number and ask. Some places in that area will allow you to come in and look through their books yourself, in which case you can copy the information, if you do not want to purchase the official certificate. They can tell you the cost to purchase as well. I would ask about what years are available to the public, too, as some cannot be viewed because of privacy. If you can prove you are a relative and need a record, that could make a difference. The best way to save time and be prepared, is to talk to someone in the clerk's office ahead of time.
