    3. Hi Rick, I have a connection thru: Job Winslow and Ruth Cole, John M. Winslow and Betty Hathaway Lois M. Winslow and William Roper 1. Do you have anything on Ruth Cole and who her parents may be? 2. Do you have anything on William Roper? He seems to have dropped off the earth, Lois Winslow m. Wilber Southward in Mar 26, 1775. I was wondering if Roper died during the Revolutionary War, I just keep coming up with a brick wall on what happened to him.. 1. [MABRISTO] Job Winslow's wife
    2. Hi - I, too, am a descendant of Job Winslow (1641-1720), and like others who have written to this list, would like very much to know the identity of his wife and the mother of his children. My notes say: His wife was not Ruth Cole, daughter of Daniel & Ruth (Chester) Cole; Daniel's daughter's marriage to John Young is proved by Daniel's estate settlement. Nor was she daughter of Giles & Catherine (Whelden) Hopkins; data for her marriage to Samuel Mayo can be found on page 273 of GENEALOGY OF MAYFLOWER FAMILIES FROM THE REGISTER. GREAT MIGRATIONS reiterates the above; Torrey's MARRIAGES PRIOR TO 1700 lists both surnames as unproven and questionable. Does anyone have a proven identity for Ruth? Isabel
