    1. Re: [MABRISTO] Looking for a marriage WILLIAM CAPLICE
    2. Thanks so much for your help. I have the death info but can't find out when they got married. I wrote to church in neighborhood where they lived but no luck. When I went to Ireland in 1983 I found my husband's father's first cousin. She told me about this family, who I had been searching for. It was her Aunt Mary Sullivan who married a Michael Murphy in 1890 and had a child in 1893. I was told her husband died and she went to US and married William Caplice. Her daughter came in 1908 and went to Mass in 1912 as she didn't like her new father. In 1908 when daughter came they lived on Perry Street, N. Y. Easily this year I found this daughters family. She married to Boston and had 4 children under 6 when her husband died in the war. Eventfully she moved to Ozone Park, NY where my husband grew up but they never knew each other. The census in 1910 say that he came in 1891 and that Mary Sullivan Murphy came that year also. But that can't be true as her daughter, Mary Murphy, wasn't born until 1893 in Ireland. We all know how census records can be wrong. Since daughter went to live in Boston area I thought that is where her mother went first and maybe met William Caplice there. I have all info on their family and don't have to really find out where they got married but would be nice to know. I have had them to my house before my husband died 20 years ago and they don't know anything about the Caplice side. I thought I would look to find out for them. Wish I was well enough to go to NY and look up info in Archives like I did years ago. Maybe I should write for first child's birth cert. and see what that would day. Thanks for your help.
