    3. Liberty and Union Weekend Friday, Oct. 25 For Liberty and Union - A Concert of American Music at Old Colony Historical Society. Featuring songs and works from early American history performed by the talented members of the Raynham Historical Society and friends. Sponsored by the Old Colony and Raynham historical societies. 7 p.m. Tickets $10. Saturday, October 26 Elizabeth Pole Returns One of the first leaders of the Taunton community, Elizabeth Pole, will grace the grounds of First Parish throughout the day, answering questions and telling stories about Taunton life in the 1600s. Living History Encampment and Displays Led by the 3d Bristol Regiment of Taunton and Friends First Parish grounds will be used to bring a alive the early history of Taunton, from colonial to Civil War eras. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Olde Tyme Taunton Live From Historic First Parish Hosted by Charlie Crowley with special guests Kevin Nunes, First Parish historian,Elizabeth Pole in costume and others. Members of the community will be invited to ask questions about the city's history. 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Old Colony Historical Society Open House Featuring the exhibit "Taunton Through the Eyes of Artists," showing four centuries of regional art from the Historical Society's collections and works from the Taunton Art Association. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. First Parish Open House Where it all began. Taunton's first meeting house will open its historic sanctuary for self-guided tours. Visitors will be treated to a multimedia display of Taunton history featuring multimedia presentations on Liberty & Union and Church Green Area history, including historically relevant First Parish sermons. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. First Parish Yard Sale The First Parish Youth Group will host the Liberty & Union Yard Sale featuring surplus items from the church and its members. Refreshments will also be sole here. All proceeds will go toward the Youth Group activities. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, October 27 Liberty & Union Community Service and Flag Raising The entire community is invited to this service to celebrate and reflect on Taunton's special place in the history of the nation.
