I am looking for Sarah Sisson who may have worked in the mills in Fall River, MA before 1820 or her son William Sisson who stayed with a Durfee family in Fall River was in the mill about 1823 or 1824. If you have any Sissons or Durfees in 1823 to 183, please let me know. Zelma Anderson
I don't know about Sarah Sisson but there were a lot of Sissons in Little Compton RI. There is a book by Benjamin Franklin Wilbour The title is Little Compton Families that lists Sisson They were a prominent family in Little Compton history. Little Compton is in Newport Co RI and is about 12 miles from Fall River.
