Panek, 88, of Taber Mill Apartments, who died on Saturday, Feb. 15, 1997 after a brief illness. He was the widower of the late Alma (Robichaud) Panek, who just recently died on Dec. 31, 1996 and was the son of the late Lawrence and Anna (Stawowa) Panek. He died at St. Luke's Hospital. A lifelong resident of New Bedford, he was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church. He was formerly employed by Aerovox Corporation for 30 years as a tool and dye maker until his retirement. Survivors include his close friends Richard and Priscilla MacBain of New Bedford.
