Hi List, Firstly a large thank you for those that have helped me so far, it has really opened up a huge area of research for me with the Yates family arriving in Taunton in 1880's. It would appear that a few journeys were made back and forth with Jane Yates (nee Webb) bringing or indeed sponsoring her nieces and nephews across to Taunton also I have found her travelling with Clara White and Amelia Webb to date... I still haven't connected with anyone researching these families to date which is my huge hope as my Great Grandfather was left behind even though only a few yeras old and it does leave a conundrum, and I still haven't traced his father William either. My big hope is that someone out there knows why the Yates family went to the states and I can try and piece it all together. Any ways I am waffling now (we do that in England a lot!). My question is are there any other research lists that you can recommend as I am a little lost when it comes to US research. Are there any obvious places people went from Taunton, if they left the area?
