    3. Hi Sue, Thank you for the birth of Emma Jane. William was a Civil War Soldier but I did not think that he had signed up until 1861. I do have a Ancestry subscription but have not been able to identify either William or Elizabeth, will keep on trying. Is there a listing on Ancestry for soldiers in the Civil War. Would you be so kind as to check for a marriage of Edwin Whitaker/Whittaker to Mary Ingham in Sept 1872 for any additional details in Fall River. Thanks again Gilly ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sue Richart" <srichart4@gmail.com> To: <mabristo@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, December 21, 2006 7:46 AM Subject: Re: [MABRISTO] DOWTY > Gilly, > I couldn't find the marriage of the parents in Massachusetts. 3. Gilly, 1872 vol 244 pg 116, item 340 October 15. Edwin Whitaker, age 27, driver (not sure of occupation), parents John and Ellen. Wife, Mary Ingham, age 25, parents George and Elizabeth. Both born in England. Clergyman, A.A. Wright. There is another Whitaker marriage on the same page. Item 324, Oct 12. Peter Whitaker, age 22, occ Finesmith?, parents Peter & Ellen. Wife: Mary J Holden, age 19, parents William & Nemey. Both born in England. Clergyman. E.A. Buck. Ancestry has a Civil War Collection. On the Home page, look down and to the right, you will see "all databases", click on it. Then on a column on the right go to Military, click on it. Next, you will see the list of collections, click on Civil War Collection. Following that, choose, American Civil War soldiers.
