I've searched the NEHGS site, google, etc., and it looks like Freetown's Vital records are not available online. Would anyone have the book and be willing to do one simple lookup for me? I have a death record that suggests that a Rhoda B. ALLEN was born in Freetown about 22 Jun 1806 to parents whose names were Margaret & (record is nearly illegible) something like Eleshuh. I have access to State Records only, and they begin around 1844. You will need someone who lives near Freetown itself. The Freetown VRs were published in 1988 in paperback by Heritage Books, Inc. There's no mention of Rhoda Allen in births, marriages, or deaths, nor of Elishua, Elisha, or whatever. There were several other Allens recorded, though. The Freetown VRs are not very complete.
