    1. [MABRISTO] Photos of PALMER RIVER?
    2. Hi! My brother and sister-in-law and I are in the process of writing a DEAN family history book which we will professionally publish. During Veteran's day holiday we worked on editing the text and discussed photos and their placement. Our ancestors had property on the Palmer River in the early 1700's as we discovered in the following land record reference, "my house lot on both sides of Palmer's River in Rehoboth". We would like some photos of that area or of some historical sites/monuments that might still exist. If anyone lives nearby and is willing to take the photos for us we would be delighted to reimburse for time and expenses. Thank you, Debbie, CA

    3. I don't live in the area, but I went to www.google.com and typed in Palmer River, and a few sites came up with photos taken near the river, there was even a site which had an aerial picture of the river. Not sure if these will help, but maybe? 3. Powers: Can't help you. But I see you are interested in Dextradeur. I came across a Dextradeur in Wareham. Emma Agnes Horan married into the Horan/Doran family. Emma Agnes Horan's parents: Emma Mary Dexter, born in Massachusetts John B. St. John Emma Mary Dexter's parents: Joseph Dextradeur Sophrenie (maiden name unknown), died in 1913 both from Canada, when they moved to Massachusetts from Canada, their last name was changed to Dexter by Joseph's employer. They had 13 children, only 3 survived. I happened to notice that there were several Dextradeur names in the Fall River area around 1911. Dexter is a common name in the Wareham area, but they are not from Canada. Easy to see how Dextradeur became Dexter in Wareham. 3. Thank you, Carol Houghton, for offering such wonderful help. If your aunt does indeed know the Carr "children"'s current addresses, I'll hope that they are from the correct line -- I might just have me some new 2nd cousins! I will also write to the town clerk. And Carolyn, if I can find out where he's buried, I'll take you up on the offered photo. I'm just sorry I didn't make better progress on this line when both David Carr and my father (his 1st cousin) were alive, and I could have brought them together. Isn't that always the way it seems to go? Nancy

    3. Hi Nancy, If this is the same David Carr I knew he lived in North Easton until he died. He had three children, David Jr., Diane and Joyce. I graduated from the high school in Easton and Diane was a year ahead of me in school and Joyce was just behind me in school. I know his wife Marion died after her did. David, Marion and their children used to go camping with my family and my aunt and uncles family when we were young. My aunt may know where Dave's kids live now. She is flying in tomorrow night from Denver and I will ask her. 3. Hello. I've just located my great-aunt Jessie FINDLATER CAMERON CARR (b Scotland 1881) and her son David CARR in Easton, MA on the 1930 census (aren't indexes great things!) I believe they lived there until they died. Just ordered the SSDI application for David CARR (1917-1988). But meanwhile, I wonder if anyone is descended from him, researching him? (my dad's family lost contact with his family in the 1930s, so I don't know if David married and had children). Are there city directories of Easton that someone could check for me? And what about cemeteries: where would folks who died in Easton be buried, and have these cemeteries been transcribed? Any assistance gratefully appreciated. 3. Looking for death record of Harrison KEITH. He was born about 1814 in Easton, Bristol Co, MA. He had lived and worked in Quincy MA for many years. His wife's name was Emeline KENNY and children were Harrison Alonzo, Aubrey R., and Emma Jane. His youngest child Emma was born in 1851 and the family appears without him on the 1860 census in Quincy, so I believe he passed between these years. I have checked the vital records at city hall and it seems that he did not die in the city of Quincy. If anyone has access to state death index or other related resources I would greatly appreciate a lookup. Thanks in advance.

    3. I'm looking for GEORGE CASWELL who married Wealthy Richmond. Does anyone know anything about them? Wealthy was a 5th generation descendant of Henry Samson of the Mayflower, and they should be included in the new 5Gs book, but so far I haven't been able to trace them. Earlier generations of Caswell were published in the Mayflower Descendant, maybe 10 years ago. Jane ----- Original Message ----- From: "Joann H. 2. Are marriages index by surname? Or do you have to look it up year by year? Looking for a marriage for a Mattie Brown who married a Leonard Lane (born abt. 1861) about 1884, maybe in MA or RI. Mattie (1864-1909) is the daughter of Zenas Brown and Ann E. Helme. Mattie was born in Seeknonk but had extended family in the city of Providence. If this is not possible, please guide me in the right direction. Thanks, Jackie
