    3. Hi Florence- This is part of my family, the John about whom you are enquiring being brother to my 5th Great-Grandfather, Ebenezer Martin. I have been in contact with Janet Martin who has done a wonderful family tree - a very thorough job researching, with citations. Janet is not a Martin herself, but her children are. You can access her site at http://www.angelfire.com/home/hammartin/. She doesn't give much information on Mercy Thurber, but you will find information on John Martin and the Martin family. Good luck! 2. James FR Morgan
    3. Hi Terry, I'll e-mail you later today on what I have found. Nothing on the 1910 census yet as I have 8 more ED's in Fall River to go through. I got slowed down when I found my grandparents (Morgan) in Attleboro (it was on the very first film in Bristol County). I was just scanning through to find the start of Fall River ED's, I stopped to see what town and their names almost jumped off the page to me. I could never find them in Pawtucket, Rhode Island in 1910. They immigrated in 1907 from Scotland. My father was born in Pawtucket in 1914 but from 1907 to 1914 I never knew where they were. Needless to say I was very excited. I them went through all of Attleboro and found my grandfather's brother George Morgan. When I went through the Fall River ED's I went pages by page. There are two Michael Ronan's born within a year of each other living in Fall River in the 1900's. Worst of all both of them use plain Michael and Michael F. or different records. I've made copies of some entries (three so far). I've also got the info on all other Ronan and Lambert listings (lots of Lambert-one is a line from Quebec, the other England). Then when you find the right parents we can go back into the census and make more copies. It's to bad that Massachusetts is not indexed yet for 1910. 2. Sherrie Wright
    3. Otis and Sarah Ann or "Annie" (formerly Louer,Lower,Lauer) met in Taunton I believe and were married there either January or July 22nd. 1884. I believe she was previously in Scituate living with her sister and brother-in- law. I am trying to find out more information about Sarah Ann, she had 3 children in Taunton Cora in 1890, Elizabeth 1892 and Clara. She died in Searsmont, Maine delivering twins one was a stillbirth and the second a boy was put up for adoption in the area. Otis returned to Scituate where Sarah Ann was buried and he remained. I'm trying to find out anything about their life in Taunton. The archives sent me a copy of the marriage record but the copy is so poor I can't read most of it. I'm trying to confirm where she was born and the spelling of her maiden name. Any help would be greatly appreciated. ~ Thanks Sherrie

Canada, but gives the mother tongue as English. Although the census information I gave on a Rose Lambert of Fall River, father b. Canada and mother b. NY fits with subsequent information in 1920 and 1930 census on Rose Ronan, it is not in line with information I see was provided several days ago which gave Rose's parents as Hormisdas & Caroline Lambert. I did not see them in 1900 in Fall River, and it was my understanding that Rose had always lived in Fall River. The Thomas and Mary Lambert with dau Rose were in Fall River in 1900, so I gave that information to the list. Again, I have no proof that Rose Lambert, daughter of Thomas was the one who m. Michael Ronan. It just was a good fit. Certainly additional information, such as a marriage certificate or death certificate would be helpful to clear this up. Florence

Since in 1900 he said he was married at age 23, that would mean he was still single on the enumeration date for 1910. Census day was 15 April that year. Actual enumeration for the Ronans was on 21 April 1910. >On Rose's parents (if the info given by Terry is correct) I can go back >very far on the French-Canadians but not the Ronan (Irish). The Census information on Rose Lambert's father gives no indication he was French Canadian, and in fact there is an E following the word Canada, which I had assumed to mean English. Some others on that page had an F following Canada, but the Lamberts' were clearly E. Of course, census information isn't always accurate. I have no independent information or any connection to these families - I am just reporting the census information I found that seemed to fit this family - birth locations, names, and ages. I do not know that these are the correct families, but they are the only ones I found that were possibilities based on the information provided. Hope the info provides some answers. Florence

They had been married 20 years. Joseph was b. Canada, and Mary b. New York. That does fir with the information from 1930, which had Rose Ronan's father b. Canada, and mother b. NY. 3. I believe the 1910 census showed he had been married before. I believe both Terry and I have copies of the 1920 & 1930 census records. I've also got the info for 1900. I looked at the 1910 census but did not copy at the time because the Salt Lake Library was ready to close for the night. If you have access before that check when he first married and also the same for Rose or Rosa. It is not the same year. On Rose's parents (if the info given by Terry is correct) I can go back very far on the French-Canadians but not the Ronan (Irish). 3. Most French-Catholics and Catholics in general only went through one funeral home. Does anyone known which one was being used between 1949 to 1965? I've had great luck in getting all of the death info from funeral homes in the past on my mother (1949), aunts, uncles and grandparents (all Catholics in North Attleboro, Massachusetts). They tell about whaling, farming, business, and life in the late 1800 early 1900. The book includes engravings and pictures. If you are interested in life during that era this is a good book.
