Eldad Hardy moved to Jasper between 1808 and 1810. He died there in 1857 and is buried at John Old's Farm. Over the years there were marriages involving families such as Freeland, Reimann, Barnhard, Warriner, Jennings, Lockwood, Spencer, Page, Ostrander, Sibley & Winegardner. They are in Jasper, Hornell, Canisteo, Troupsburg, Greenwood and more. Three are: Lottie (Freeland) Reimann, b. Jasper, 1877, d. Greenwood, 1930. Susan (Barnhard) Warriner, b. Jasper, 1867, d. Greenwood, 1926. Adaline (Jennings) Lockwood, b. Greenwood, 1874, d. MS, 1910. I haven't ever been able to really research in that area. Do you know if you have ties to any of these lines, perhaps back to the Hardy family of Bradford, MA?
