I have posted earlier concerning my ancestor DAVID THOMPSON, who died in 1855, and his wife PHEBE BONNEY, who died in 1842. Both were buried at Church on the Hill Cemetery, Lenox, and both were, to the best of my knowledge, residents of Lenox. I am wondering if any one has had the occasion to look into wills, and estates, for ancestors during this time frame. Is there an index of wills? How would I locate a copy? Thank you. If I recall correctly, Lenox was once thecounty courthouse, but at some point was moved to Pittsfield.
