I am interested in finding burial sites for a Samuel Hitchcock (d. 1801 in Sheffield) and either of his two wives, Sarah Sears Hitchcock (prob. died about 1771) and Betsey Sears Hitchcock (prob died on or after 1803). Even though Samuel and Betsey lived in Sheffield, there are no grave sites for them there. They used to live in New Marlborough so I am thinking maybe they are buried there. The Sears were in Middletown (East Hampton) for years and that is also a possibility. Is there anyone who knows the cemeteries in these areas? In New Marlborough, the oldest cemeteries are: Huxley, Mill River (maybe), Old Mill River, and New Marlborough - from what I could find. In Middletown, in particular, the East Hampton area, is there someone who knows the cemeteries or could search them for me? Are there complete transcriptions any place for these cemeteries? Thank you.
