Also, his marriage in Monterey in 1883 to Minnie M Gregory (Minnie's second marriage) lists the same parents. Father Jacob Hall died in Monterey on 23 Sep 1863 at age 31.His parents were Thomas and Abigail Hall. Looking at the 1870 census, widow Fidelia had 4 other daughters and the two oldest worked with her in the mill, so my guess would be that Andrew was one less mouth for her to feed.
