My grandfather was Irving W Hall and his father, my Great grandfather was Andrew J Hall. I am trying to determine who Andrews parents actually were. In the 1870 census he was 8 and listed as living with Luke M and Margaret. However, both would have been in their 50's when he was born so I doubt they are his biological parents. (personally it appears he was living with Luke M was his Grandfather) I also found another reference that he was the son of Fidelia (daughter of Luke M Hall) and Jacob Hall. However, if that is the case, why wasn't he living with Fidelia and listed with her in the 1870 census? Can you provide any further insight into this mystery for me?
