COSTELLO John born in Ireland 1820, Father Hugh Costello, Mother unknown. Lived in Berkshire Co. West Stockbridge, MA. when he got married in Pittsfield MA by Father E H Purcell, Catholic Priest on 24 Jan 1855. Doesn't list the church. It was John's 2nd marriage. John is listed in 1860 & 1870 (West Stockbridge, MA) & 1880 (Great Barrington MA) federal census. Know he was alive 24 Aug 1882, but no other data, guess he may have passed away between then 1900 (he would have been 80). DONAHUE Catherine (Kate) born in Ireland 1830, Father John Donahue, mother (unknown). Married 24 Jan 1855 her 1st. Children: Nellie (1855), John (10 Mar 1858), unnamed boy (2 Jan 1859), Michael (1 Apr 1860), Mary (11 July 1862) & Patrick (15 Jan 1868). Federal census same as John's. Believe she may have passed away 1883-1900. COSTELLO Nellie Ellen born 12 Nov 1855, West Stockbridge, MA found in 1860 & 1870 (West Stockbridge) Federal census. 1880 (Great Barrington, MA) federal census. Marriages registered in Great Barrington MA 24 Aug 1882 list Nellie Costello & John Agnew, son of Felix Agnew - Ann Boylan of Norfolk, CT. John was living in Waterbury, CT working as matcher of lumber. It was John's & Nellie's 1st marriage. Nellie is found in 1900, 1910 & 1920 federal census living in Waterbury, CT. Nellie died on 12 Dec 1923 in Waterbury and is buried in St. Joseph Cemetery. AGNEW Felix Agnew born in Ireland 1831 parents unknown. Barbour Collection (CT)Cornwall, CT vital records #3 Page 122, shows Felix Aguerg (Agnew) & Ann Beglon (Boylan) were born in Ireland,living in Norfolk, Litchfield, CT were married (15 Aug 1852) by Rev. john Smith in Cornwall, CT Felix & Ann moved to Rossie, St Lawrence, NY in 1858. Felix entered Union Army (14th NY Arty) 17 Nov 1863 and was taken POW 30 Sep 1864 Poplar Grove, VA died as POW 21 Apr 1865 at either Sharon, SC or Andersonville, GA. Boylan Ann Boylan born in Ireland 1829, parents unknown. Three Children: James B Agnew (4 Sep 1853) & John Agnew (11 Mar 1856) born in Norfolk, CT Arthur Agnew (4 June 1858), born in Rossie, St Lawrence, NY. Ann filed Declaration for Widow's Army Pension with State of NY Judge C H Alleny on 25 July 1865, than forwarded to US Pension Agency, Boston, MA who forwarded it to Adjutant General's office who approved pension 19 Oct 1867 after all facts were verified. Ann and 3 sons sold homeplace and moved to Housatanic, MA in late 1869. The 1880 US Federal census shows her living @ Waterbury, CT with her sons. Ann died 4 Sept 1899 and is buried in Waterbury, CT. John and Nellie 5 children were born between 1883-1892 in Waterbury, CT. John died 26 Oct 1892 in Waterbury, CT & is buried St. joseph cemetery in Waterbury.
