Hello, Barbara. A quick check of what is available on the Massachusetts Vital Records Project turned up the birth of an Elijah Adams in Becket, Berkshire, on 29 Mar. 1773. Using the surname index makes it fairly easy to check these. Becket has not been transcribed, but the surnames are there and the page numbers link to the images from the published records.
